Outdoor Activities

Let's Get Outside!

Leisure Lake is proud of the many outdoor activities offered.  They encourage friendships and build a stronger sense of community.  The warm southern weather allows use of many year around.  We are an active community and refuse to sit down and AGE IN PLACE!

OUR LAKE provides great fishing, no license required.  Fish from the gazebo fish dock, the boat launch, west seawall or east end by the dam.  See turtles and herons from the gazebo.    Kids and adults alike love to cast their line.

SWIMMING POOL is refreshing and safe for active seniors.  The pool water is heated and very comfortable.  There are stairs for access, underwater benches for sitting.  The maximum depth is 5'.  Men and women alike are welcome at the water exercise group held each summer.

PICKLE BALL is played several afternoons during good weather.  Everyone is welcome to join a game or just hit a few balls around for fun.

"CORNHOLE" - BEAN BAG TOSS is set up on the large, shady back porch which overlooks the pool.  Similar to horseshoes, but with a modern twist.

PACK UP A PICNIC – Eat and relax in the shade of the old oak tree at the picnic area on the south lawn.  Watch for hummingbirds and butterflies.
JUST WALK - paved streets with frequently posted speed limit signs provide safe streets to stretch your legs.

DOG-FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD - Dogs love the expansive green space at the clubhouse.  Doggie bag stations are provided throughout the neighborhood.  We love our dogs, but they must be on leash and controlled and supervised at ALL times.

FOR MORE EXERCISE, City of Foley's Graham Creek Nature Center has

hiking trails, frisbee golf, archery, children's playground,

shelterhouse and an indoor educational center.  It's just a mile down the street.
